The Point Of It All....

It's not about politics this time. Anthony Hamilton has a new CD--The Point of it All--scheduled for release on December 16. I can't wait. In a much earlier post I wrote about his big hit, Charlene, and how mesmerized I was one early morning when I heard and saw the video. Ever since, I've listened to all of his music.

The album is getting good reviews from pre-release concerts. I'm Cool, a single and video about old fashioned and inexpensive love dates, has already been a hit. About other tracks, early reports are that he maintains the soulful, gritty Bill Withers, Al Green, Bobby Womack sound that comes through in earlier projects. Still, the music is upbeat and contain the modern ingredients for making it on the music scene these days.

Needless to say, I've marked December 16th on my calendar.
