Could You Be Loved...............
In the sumnmer after I graduated from high school, my Jamaican friend Tony turned me on to Bob Marley one day in the attic of his parent's house. But it wasn't until my third year of college that I stumbled upon the "Uprising" album that contained this song. As I browsed the college record shop, an operation run by students, I came across one of the most upbeat songs I'd ever heard. The road of life is rocky and you may stumble too," Marley sang. "so don't you point your finger because someone else is watching you..............Love your brotherman. Don't let them change you or even try to rearrange you! Oh, we've got a live to live. They say: only, only, only of the fittest of the fittest shall survive--stay alive!
I was hooked. Ever since, the track has been one of my favorites---a black and universal anthem of love and brotherhood.
